PGA Results: 2011 Presidents Cup
What a fantastic weekend of golf at the Presidents Cup down in Melbourne, Australia. If you haven't been following here, there are daily updates so you can track the progress of the matches and scores from day one, day two and day three.
Coming into day four, the USA team held a 13-9 lead, and needed only 4 1/2 points to capture the Cup. The International team would have to stage a huge, Brookline Ryder Cup style comeback to have a chance. Early in the rounds there looked to be a chance that the International team might just do it with wins in the first four matches. The USA team bent but didn't break.
Interestingly enough, struggling Tiger Woods found his missing putting stroke in the final singles matches and went on a birdie barrage. With five birdies in 15 holes, Tiger crushed Aussie Aaron Baddeley 4 & 3, and actually scoring the clinching point.
Final Score: USA Team 19 - International Team 15
