How often do you play a round of golf where you score 15 good holes but have two or three “meltdown” holes? It can be very tough to keep it going for all 18 holes; one other reason why PGA Tour golfers are so impressive.
Since most of us amateur golfers will never be that good, or be able to keep it together for a full 18 holes, here’s a great game to play called Three Little Piggies.
Three Little Piggies
The concept for Three Little Piggies is easy. At the end of the round, the three worst holes (or piggies if you prefer) are thrown out of the final score. The 15 remaining holes are counted against the best 15 of all the other players in the competition.
Variations
A couple of possible variations may determine how or what holes can be thrown out. If going solely on total score, players may end up throwing out par-5 holes because those contain the most strokes.
If basing the holes to throw out against par, players may or may not throw out the par-5 holes.
