The letters "T" and "F" are significant in the game T&F. In this format only holes which start with the letters T or F are counted.
Front holes:
Two
Three
Four
Five
Back Holes:
Ten
Twelve
Thirteen
Fourteen
Fifteen
In total there are nine holes which would be counted in the tournament.
There are two different ways the T&F can be formatted.
1. The format for the tournament over the T&F nine holes can by just about any tournament format: Stroke play, best ball, scramble, etc.
2. In two person teams one player's score would be counted on the T&F holes and his/her partner's score would be counted on the non-T&F holes. Those holes should be declared before the first hole is played, though a variation could allow the team to choose after the round.
