Ever been to Idaho? There's more there than just potatoes. Here's a great reason to make the trip, Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course.
Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course Overview
When it opened in 1991, the golf course was instantly ranked as the #11 resort course in the country as well as achieving the #1 ranking by Golf Digest for "beauty and aesthetics." Part of that beauty is due to the high altitude pine trees and vegetation, and part because the course sits on the shores of the deep blue Lake Coeur d'Alene.

Along with golf, the resort and area offers an abundance of activities including boating, hiking, fishing, casinos, helicopter tours, horseback riding, arts, ATV riding and much more. When you're tired of golf, which you won't be, there's plenty more to do.
Design
Scott Miller designed this par 71, 6,803 yard course. The course occupies 200 beautiful acres on the shores of Lake Couer d'Alene. The shaping and contouring of the course makes every hole its own private experience, where you can't see other golfers and they can't see you. All 18 holes have views of the lake.

To insure fun and playability for golfers of all ability levels, the golf course offers five sets of tees, the longest at the aforementioned 6,803 yards and the shortest at 4,448 yards.
Signature Floating Green
While all of the holes at this resort course are beautiful, the signature hole of the course is obviously the par-3 14th.

The hole is the first and only movable floating green in the world (above). The yardage can vary between 95-200 yards depending on markers and movement of the green, which is controlled by computer.
