PGA Results: 2014 World Golf Championships

PGA Tour / European Tour World Golf Championships The Golf Club at Dove Mountain Marana, AZ There are many who believe that match play golf is the best form of golf out there. King Frog agrees. Match play is very exciting for the players and real golf fans. The problem though, is that the general viewing audience does not know match play so it does not make for good viewing for them. Another problem with match play is that the headliner players who bring in the big viewing crowds at the event or on television, can get knocked out early in the tournament. That’s just what happened this week at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championships in Marana, Arizona. All of the #1 seed players, Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Zach Johnson, were gone by the completion of the 2nd round. The final match found Jason Day playing against Victor Dubuisson. This amazing match took 23 holes to complete, with Day coming out on top for a big victory.
