Deutsche Bank Championship
TPC Boston, Boston, MA
The Deutsche Bank Championship is the 2nd of four FedEx Cup Playoff events. The field features the top 100 in FedEx Cup standings following the opening playoff event, the Barclays.
Henrik Stenson has been arguably the best player this season without a win, especially in the latter half of the season where he racked up a 2nd place finish in the British Open, a 3rd at the PGA Championship and a 2nd at a WGC (World Golf Championship) event.
Stenson finally broke through for the victory at the Deutsche Bank, beating out the nearest competitor Steve Stricker, by two shots.
With the win Stenson moves up from 13th in the FedEx Cup standings to 1st, overtaking Tiger Woods. Woods, fighting back injuries, managed only a 65th place finish and now sits in 2nd place in the FedEx Cup standings.
Rounding out the top five in the FedEx Cup are Adam Scott (3), Matt Kuchar (4), and Graham DaLaet (5).
