LPGA Tour The LPGA was at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA for the Kingsmill Championship. In a wild ending, Paula Creamer missed a par putt on the 18th hole which would have won the tournament. Instead she would enter into a record breaking playoff with Jiyai Shin. In fact the two player playoff would take so long that it would need to be completed this morning (Monday). The Sunday playoff included eight par ties on the par-4 18th hole before darkness ensued. Strangely, officials set up the 16th hole as the 9th playoff hole for Monday, which did result in a winner being decided as Creamer failed to make par, giving Shin the win.

FedEx Cup Playoff Segment Three - BMW Championship
This past week was the third segment of the FedEx Cup playoffs was contested at the BMW Championship in famous Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. If you recall, Crooked Stick is the Pete Dye course which was the stage for John Daly's amazing underdog win of the 1991 PGA Championship. The top 70 players in FedEx Cup points competed for position in the top 30, which qualify for the TOUR Championship in a couple of weeks. Miss the top 30 and players have no chance at the $10 million prize.
Low scoring was the norm this past week. Rory McIlory fired a total of -20 with a final round 67, despite the final round bogey on the 18th. The 67 for McIlory leapfrogged (pun intended) leaders Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh, separating him by two shots for his 2nd victory in as many weeks, and 3rd in his last four starts.
