PGA Preview: 2012 Northern Trust Open

PGA Tour This week the Tour is at Riviera CC in Pacific Palisades CA for the Northern Trust Open.  Riviera is a fun track, tree lined with some nice elevation changes.  The greens can be tricky to read as well. Phil Mickelson looks to continue his high level of play from last week and is in the field.  Other notables in action at Riviera this week include Adam Scott, K.J. Choi, Nick Watney, Gary Woodland, Camilo Villegas, Keegan Bradley, Fred Couples and Sergio Garcia.  Better set the DVR (times below). One other player worth mentioning, is the #1 ranked player in the world, Luke Donald. Donald says he is up to the task of representing his #1 ranking. John Daly is in the field and looks to continue his solid play on the Euro tour.  A look at the field shows that there are only TWO players in the top 100 in the world rankings competing, Gregory Havret and Jamie Donaldson. LPGA Tour & Champions Tour The LPGA is in Thailand at the Honda LPGA, while the Champions Tour will be contesting the ACE Group Classic in Naples Florida at the TwinEagles Club.  Bernhard Langer is the defending champion.
