PGA Preview: 2012 Honda Classic
PGA Tour
The PGA Tour is now in Florida for the Florida swing. First stop is the Honda Classic. For the first time Tiger Woods is playing in the Honda Classic, so there should be quite an increase in media attention and coverage. Other big names in the field include Rory McIlory and Lee Westwood.
The Honda is contested at The PGA National Golf Club Champions course in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The course is a par-70 playing 7,125 yards for the event. The course was originally designed for tournament play by Tom and George Fazio, then later redesigned in 1990 by Jack Nickalus.
The famous "Bear Trap," three holes designed by Nicklaus, challenge players as one of the toughest stretches of holes on the Tour.
Nationwide Tour
The Nationwide Tour is at the Panama Claro Championship in Panama City, Panama. The event is contested at Panama Golf Club, a par-70 at 7,201 yards. Last year's champion was Matthew Goggin.
