Golf Tips: Wiggle Your Waggle
Know what the golf term "waggle" means? Let's talk about it.
What
A waggle is a little motion a golfer makes with the club which is like a mini rehearsal of the initial takeaway of the swing. Take the club back a little bit and start to cock the wrists. The best and most visible example of a waggle is in the pre-shot routine of Jason Dufner.

Keep in mind though, that Dufner's waggle is not a typical one. Jason exaggerates the action and takes the club far to the inside and then to the outside. A more normal waggle would be on plane more than Jason's.
Why
The waggle does many things. The most important part of the waggle to help release tension from the golfer and help him/her relax. The waggle also helps build up a feel of the initial few inches of takeaway, as well as the last few inches before impact.
Not Too Many
The waggle can help, as long as you don't do it too much. 1-3 waggles is plenty. Don't do more than that or you might find yourself stuck in a waggle loop and unable to make a swing!
