Here's a fun and intense two-person team game which could also be used as a tournament format.
"Yellowsome" is a game in which each member of the two-person team tees off. The WORST of the two tee shots is chosen to play, as picked by the opposing team. Following the selection of the tee shots, the team then plays the hole in alternate shot format until the ball is holed out.
Example
Two two-player teams are playing Yellowsomes. Team A's players tee off on the first hole, a par-4. The first tee ball splits the fairway while the 2nd tee ball is blocked right into a fairway bunker. Team B's players tee off with one ball hitting the fairway and one going into trees left of the hole. Team B chooses team A's shot in the bunker as their next while Team A chooses Team B's ball in the trees as their next shot.
From that point on the players strike the same ball alternately until the hole is finished.
Playing Yellowsomes can put some fun pressure on the players teeing off, especially the 2nd player in the event that the first player's ball is already in trouble.
