The weekend is just about here, so lets talk about a game you could play, provided that you are grouped in a threesome.
Split Sixes
As mentioned, this game is played with a group of three players.
On each hole played there are a total of six points available. Golfers split the points based on their score on the hole. The golfer with the highest score at the end of the round wins. Bets can be based on points, like $1 per point, or a flat bet amount at the end of the game can be awarded to the player with the most points.
Splits
Here is the split breakdown per hole:
- Player with lowest (best) score on the hole is awarded 4 points.
- Player with middle score is awarded 2 points.
- Golfer with the highest (worst) score on the hole receives no points.
Splitting Ties
- If two players tie for low score, they each receive 3 points. 3rd player, 0 points.
- If two players tie for the high score, they receive 1 point each. The low score is awarded 4 points.
- If all golfers tie, each is awarded 2 points. Other variants of this game may award no points when all players tie.
The total points awarded must always add up to 6.
