What a year 2013 has been and now it is coming to a close. Here’s a short look back at some of the highlights of 2013 for us here at Frogger Golf.
January
January is a crazy month for us. The start of the new year means many things, one being our annual trip to the
PGA Merchandise Show. At this year’s show we unveiled THREE new products: Golf Cart Poncho, Swing Hero, and Arc Angel.
The PGA Show was a big success and we always love meeting the people we work with face to face.
In January the PGA Tour season started and we covered the happenings on tour every Monday in the regular Weekend Wrap posts.
We also ran a fun
Twitter contest, awarding prizes as we reached the 1,000 follower mark.
February
February was a fun month. We had many fun tips like “
Wiggle Your Waggle,” and “Practice AFTER Round.”
Our
green repair tool video “The Fiddler” hit the street and entertained many thousands.
Grand Cypress New Course was the Killer Course of the month.
March
In March “
Golf More Swing Less” posted a great review of many of our products.
A
helicopter dropped 2,305 golf balls onto a school field for charity.
In one of the more strange announcements of the year, we talked about a
golf course in China which would be featuring a hole shaped like a bowl of noodles. Pass the chopsticks please.
April
April was HUGE. We started to offer a killer bonus deal where any Frogger product sold at $17.95 or higher included a
bonus subscription to Golf Digest for a year!
April of course, was also Masters month. Always big in the golf world.
Adam Scott won the Masters and a 14 year old amateur shot a 73 at Augusta.
Perhaps the most fun story of the year began in April and continued on through the year. “
Dufnering” became the most viral story. Jason Dufner sitting in a school in a very laid back manner set the tone for 1,000’s of others to do the same and post photos of themselves “Dufnering.”
In April we also saw the coolest golf cart ever, the
Bubba Watson hovercraft.
May
In May the Frogger BrushPro was featured at Answers.com’s golf section as a top five
Father’s Day gift.
May marked the month the USGA and R&A announced that
anchoring a club, belly putting, would become illegal in 2016.
Examiner.com posts a full Frogger product line review, which was awesome.
June
June was
U.S. Open month and what an Open it was with Justin Rose capturing his first major win with Phil Mickelson chasing him down the stretch.
Hooked On Golf Blog posted a killer
Golf Cart Poncho review.
Pace of play was a big focus in the golf world. Golf Channel featured “
Pace of Play Month” while we blogged about
combating slow play.
