BIG week this week. Most of the biggest names in golf are in action at The Memorial Tournament. Tiger Woods is in the field this week having made it to Ohio in his private jet after playing two practice rounds at Chambers Bay in preparation for the U.S. Open.
The only big named player not in action is Rory McIlory, fresh off missing the cut last week at the Irish Open.
The defending champion is Hideki Matsuyama, who defeated Kevin Na on the first playoff hole to earn his first career PGA Tour victory.
Headlining the field: Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Jim Furyk, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, Matt Kuchar, Kevin Na and Steve Stricker.

Inbee park is the defending champion having finished three shots ahead of Cristie Kerr last year.

Four-time PGA TOUR winner Carlos Franco will make his Champions Tour debut this week after turning 50 on May 24. 2016 Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III also is in the field this week, making just his fourth career Champions Tour start.
Tom Pernice Jr. is the defending champion. Pernice defeated Doug Garwood on the second playoff hole for his third career win on the 50-and-over tour.
