Champions Tour Toshiba Classic Newport Beach Country Club Newport Beach, California PGA Tour and Champions Tour favorite Fred Couples carded his 10th win on the senior circuit this past weekend at the Toshiba Classic at Newport Beach Country Club. In a classic case of “drive for show and putt for dough,” Couples’s great putting made up for driving which Couples called, “driving it all over the lot.” Three players tied for 2nd place, Steve Pate, Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie. Montgomerie’s tournament was highlighted by a fantastic final round 62.
