One of the biggest bits of news from the RBC Canadian Open came from a player who didn't even play the weekend. No, that player didn't miss the cut either. Hunter Mahan, coming off a strong finish at the British Open, built up a three shot lead following Friday's 2nd round. Then Mahan received an important message: his wife was going into labor with their first child.
Mahan promptly withdrew and took off for home in Texas.
Mahan's departure opened up the field a bit. Brandt Snedeker took advantage and worked himself to a three shot lead, only this time the three shot lead was after Sunday's final round. Sneds became the fourth multiple winner on the PGA Tour season, joining Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Matt Kuchar.

Senior British Open
Royal Birkdale GC, Southport, Merseyside, UK
It took five days to complete, but the Senior British Open finally came to a conclusion. Berhnard Langer had a two-shot lead coming into the final 72nd hole. The tournament was his.
At least that’s what he and the fans thought.
Langer then proceeded to make a double bogey on the final hole. Giving up those two shots meant that there would be a playoff between himself and Mark Wiebe. It took five playoff holes to break the tie and declare a winner, as Langer failed to make par.
Mark Wiebe’s win marked the first senior major championship of his career.
LPGA Tour
