PGA Preview: 2012 Waste Management Open
If there was ever a weekend to make sure your DVR is working correctly and has plenty of hard drive space to record golf, this would be it. There are two great events going on, both with fantastic fields.
PGA Tour - Waste Management Open
Get out your ear plugs and your beer umbrellas. This is the loudest, craziest and most crowded golf event in the world. The Waste Management Phoenix Open has had as many as 538,356 fans attend the event, most which seem to be on the par-3 16th hole (pictured below). Last year's attendance was down a bit due to cold temperatures, only 364,554 but this year is on pace to challenge the record already.

In the field this week are some fantastic players to watch, including Phil Mickelson who is fresh off missing the cut at last week's Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines. Ian Poulter will be making his first start on Tour this season and one thing is sure about Ian, he'll be dressed well. Other players include last week's winner Brandt Snedeker, Bubba Watson and big hitter Gary Woodland.
European Tour - Qatar Masters
The European tour is at Doha Golf Club in Doha Qatar for the Qatar Masters. Two of the world's top five players are in action in Qatar with Lee Westwood (#3) and Martin Kaymer (#4). Also in action are top 20 players Graeme McDowll (#11), Hunter Mahan (#19) and Sergio Garcia (#18).
