PGA Preview: 2012 Children's Miracle Network Classic
PGA Tour
This week marks the end of the 2012 PGA Tour season. The final tournament is the Children's Miracle Network Classic, contested at Walt Disney World on the Magnolia and Palm Courses, Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Purse for this week is $4.7 million, with the winner's share at $846K. More importantly for many than the money, is cracking into the top 125. This is the final week players can position themselves in the Tour's top 125 on the money list, which punches their card for 2013 PGA Tour playing privileges.
On the outside looking in are some interesting names: Stuart Appleby, Camilo Villegas, Justin Leonard, Gary Woodland, Trevor Immelman, Tim Petrovic.
Too close for comfort are James Driscoll (120), Boo Weekly (121), Jeff Maggert (122), Kevin Chappell (123), Rod Pampling (124), Billy Mayfair (125).

European Tour
The Race To Dubai (European Tour's version of the FedEx Cup) is coming down to the wire. This week the European Tour is in Singapore for the Barclays Singapore Open. Host venue is Serapong Course, Sentosa Golf Club.
Many big names are in the field this week, with hopes that they can overtake world #1 Rory McIlory for the top spot in the Race To Dubai standings. McIlory stands about about 800,000 Euros ahead of Peter Hanson. Rounding out the top five in the Race to Dubai are Justin Rose, Ian Poulter and Branden Grace.

The LPGA Tour is in Mexico to contest the Lorena Ochoa Invitational. The tournament is held in Guadalajara, Mexico at Guadalajara Country Club, a traditional tree lined track. Par is 72 with a yardage for the ladies of 6,626. 2011 champion is Catriona Matthew.
