Champions Tour
We will start with the seniors this week because they're contesting a major championship, the Senior British Open. Purse for this Open is $2 million, with the winner collecting $315K.
The Senior British this year is held at Turnberry (Ailsa Course) in Turnberry, Scotland. This course has a recognizable lighthouse which is seen in the distance on many holes. The course is a par-70 with is 7,105 yards.
Greg Norman is making a rare appearance this week. Unfortunately Gary Player will not be competing due to a neck injury. Others to watch include Bernhard Langer, Fred Couples, Mark Calcavecchia, and the three Toms: Kite, Watson and Lehman.

PGA Tour
The PGA Tour is north of the border this week in Canada for the RBC Canadian Open. Purse this week is $5.2 million with the winner's share at $936K and 500 FedEx Cup Points.
The RBC Canadian Open is contested at Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. The course features 27 tree lined holes designed by Harry Shapland Colt in 1914. The championship course is a par-70 track which measures at 6,966 yards. There are only two par-5's.
The field this week features Ernie Els, fresh off his British Open win last week. Els will be enlisting the caddie services of former NHL star Dan Quinn. Other notables in the field: Ricky Barnes, Retief Goosen, Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker, Charl Schwartzel. Locals will be watching their favorite Mike Weir.

LPGA Tour
The ladies are contesting the fifth major, the Evian Masters. This major features a large purse for the ladies, at $3.25 million. Winner's share is $487,500.
The host venue for the Evian Masters is Evian Golf Club in Evian-Les-Bains, France. Evian Masters Golf Club is a par-72 track which measures at 6,457 yards for the ladies. The course has plenty of challenges from thick rough to trees to elevation changes.
Ai Miyazato is returning champion. Last year's winning score was -15. Most of the players atop the Rolex rankings are in the field.
