PGA Preview: 2012 Arnold Palmer Invitational
PGA Tour
The final Florida stop for the PGA Tour is this week. The Tour is at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Florida for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. This is one of the players' favorite tournaments to play because it is hosted by the King, Arnold Palmer. As the name says, this tournament is an "invitational." Competitors are personally invited by the King.
The field for the Arnold Palmer Invitational is as usual, fantastic. Nearly all the big players in the world are in attendance except for Luke Donald and Rory McIlory. In fact, Mr. Palmer isn't too thrilled that McIlroy and Donald aren't there. The field at this tournament is also the last big star studded event before the Masters.
Bay Hill is a great golf course. I've had the opportunity to walk a few of the holes. Unfortunately I wasn't playing them. The course presents a lot of great challenges with tree lined holes and quite a few undulations. The par-4 458 yard 18th is of course the signature hole, with the water right of the fairway and short of the green.
Bay Hill is a par-72, measuring out at 7,381 yards.

The gray hair league is in Mississippi for the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic. The host venue is Fallen Oak in Biloxi.
In the field this week are some big name players like Fred Couples, Loren Roberts, Nick Price, Tom Lehman, Kenny Perry and Bernhard Langer.
Fallen Oak is a par-72, 7,054 yards.
Nationwide Tour
The Nationwide Tour is in Louisiana for the Chitimacha Lousiana Open. The NWT is back in the USA after three weeks in Latin America.
The #1 pick to win this week is Joseph Bramlett, who is playing quite well right now.
The host course this week for the NWT is Le Triomphe CC in Broussard, Louisiana. Par-72, 7,004 yards.
LPGA
The LPGA Tour is in southern California for the Kia Classic at La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California. This is one I have played and it is a great track. The course has been recently rennovated so it will be interesting to see what changes were made.
