"Got good news from doctor. Only mild strain of left Achilles. Can resume hitting balls late in week and hopeful for Bay Hill next week."TV and golf media are breathing a sigh of relief no doubt. Tiger's season so far includes four starts on the PGA Tour. In those four starts Tiger has placed T-17, T-15, T-2 and of course a WD. One other non Tour event Woods competed in this year was the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship where he finished in 3rd.
PGA News: 2012 WGC Cadillac Championship - Tiger Woods Injury Update
I'm sure the golf media/TV entities were sweating golf balls. Their ratings king Tiger Woods withdrew last week from the WGC Cadillac Championship with an Achilles injury. It was looking questionable as to whether Woods would be missing the Masters and possibly a large part of the season.
Just a couple of days after the WD though, a Tweet on Twitter from Woods confirms that his Achilles injury is a "mild sprain." Woods expects to play at Arnold Palmer's tournament in Bay Hill next week and be ready for the Masters.
