Golf Games: The 17 Hole Press
Once in a while my buddies and I play a crazy press game. Usually we have one bet for $5 or something for 18 holes, match play. But when we are feeling it, we'll do what we call the 17 hole press.
Basically the way it works, is we auto-press on every hole. So bet #1 is an 18 hole match play bet for $5. Bet #2 starts on hole #2 and runs for 17 holes. Bet #3 starts on hole 3 and runs for 16 holes. And so on.
If someone plays poorly, it could be a costly day. 18x$5=$90 so there's $90 to be won or lost. But as evenly matched as our group is, not too many dollars change hands.
