Golf Games: Player's Choice
When two players with different handicaps play against each other, strokes are given to the higher handicap player starting with the hardest holes. So if a 10 handicap was playing a 5, the 10 would get five strokes--one on each of the five hardest holes.
Player's Choice
Player's Choice is a game which has a different way of using those strokes. As in the regular match above, a 10 handicap would get 5 strokes to use during the round. But rather than the strokes falling at one per each of the five hardest holes, the 10 handicap player may use the strokes anywhere he/she wants. The 10 may use more than one stroke per hole, until his 5 strokes are gone.
For instance, the 10 handicap player may want to use two strokes on the one hole. Then he would have three strokes left. So if the match were tied coming into the 18th hole and the 10 still had those three strokes, he would use them all, forcing the 5 handicap player to beat him by 3 or more to tie.
