Golf Games: Golf And Raccoons
On the lighter side of golf news for today, we have a funny story about a raccoon who lives on the golf course and steals stuff from golf carts as golfers pass by. More interesting is how technology helped the golfers get their property back.
In Palm Beach County, Florida, a golfer named Brian Acker lost his iPhone 4 on the course. Later he returned with his wife after using the iPhone's GPS from his wife's iPhone to track his, via the "find my iPhone app." They had determined via the app that the phone was located on the course. As they got closer to the phone, they used a function to "ping" the phone, making it beep. As they got closer they realized that the iPhone was up in a palm tree. They found the phone in a raccoon's nest, along with other items the raccoon had collected from golfers.
