Golf Games: Daytona
Daytona is an interesting two man team format, played with pairs of players. Each pair adds their individual scores together to make a double digit number, with some volatile rules. Two teams minimum is required for this format.
The Good
If one of the team scored par or better on a hole, that is the first digit of the score. So on a par-5 where one player makes birdie and one makes bogey, the score would be 46.
The Bad
If neither of the team makes par or better on a hole, the higher score is used for the first digit. So on a par-4 where one player makes bogey and one makes double bogey the score would be 65.
The Winner
The team with the lowest Daytona score at the end of the day wins.
