Golf Betting in Florida

For dozens of Friday Fun posts we’ve posted some of the most popular golf games like skins, scrambles, deuces, and so on. Most of these games involve some kind of wager or pot, which makes the game a little more interesting.
It seems in Florida, law enforcement is getting a little sticky with a certain golf course regarding on course wagering. The golf course is under investigation for illegal gambling in that it has supported and promoted these gambling games for its leagues. Law enforcement has gone as far as saying that the golf course is a “gambling house.”
While we at Frogger certainly do not condone illegal activities, this is certainly a case of misplaced intent. Certainly a $2.00 friendly wager between a couple of retired Florida gentlemen in a golf nassau should be of no interest to anyone other than player standing over the 3-foot putt on the final hole to win, and the opponent standing by hoping his competitor misses!
