2013 Golf Year In Review

This isn’t a normal Monday. The pro golf tours are all off for the rest of the year and Christmas is in two days! This time of year many golf media outlets produce their year end reviews. Here is a list of a few interesting year in review articles for 2013. Sports Network has a nice piece and gives away some hardware in their 2013 Golf Year In Review. Adam Schupak thinks his year was better than Rory McIlory’s. Perhaps on the golf course but I’d bet Rory did better in the banking department… PGA.com’s John Kim sat down with PGA of America President Ted Bishop to reflect on the PGA's highlights of 2013. Golf Channel is counting down their “Newsmakers of the Year.” Four more to go! Cybergolf has a sarcastic look at some of the more controversial happenings in golf for 2013. The PGA Tour had a whale of a season this year with 59’s, Tiger winning five tournaments (no majors) and catching flack for the new wrap-around season. Still, its happy days for the Tour. A look at the “other” side of the coin is Hooked On Golf Blog’s 2013 Turkey of the Year awards. This is an award we DO NOT want to win!
